My Journey

As a young boy, I grew up in the Catholic Church, even serving as an altar boy at St. Jerome's. But as I journeyed through life, something always felt missing. Throughout my young adult years, through countless experiences and adventures, I felt a constant tug at my heart, a longing for Yahweh. I became a born again Christian, yearning to seek God's face. Through trials, battles, and tribulations, I found myself repeatedly drawn back to a desire to serve God. Something was always stirring deep within me, whispering that I was in the wrong place and calling me to return.

Yet even as I followed this call, I felt that something vital was absent. I began to question what I was seeing in Christianity, observing how many denominations and churches often competed with one another, each claiming to be the right way. Some emphasized speaking in tongues, others strict observance of the Sabbath, and I could not help but step back and look at the world from the outside. The name Jesus, in particular, unsettled me. I saw it used casually, blasphemed in comedy and everyday speech. I learned about the history of the name, how it was shaped in Western Europe during the 1500s and used to justify colonization, wars, and slavery. I could not feel power or reverence in it. I prayed for God to show me the truth, to reveal how this name could be His, because it did not work for me.

Then one day, God answered. I was guided to search, and through that search I discovered His true name, Yehoshua, Yeshua, the sacred name the Father had given His Son. It had been there all along, hidden in plain sight, and the moment I embraced it, everything began to change. I felt a new sense of power and connection, and a deeper calling awakened within me. I began to study the Hebrew Scriptures with renewed understanding, seeing the profound meaning behind the names of the Most High, El Elyon, and YHWH, His name given to Israel. My understanding grew, and I realized I was no longer bound by the traditions of men or the limitations of religious institutions.

Through Yeshua, I experienced freedom. I was free to embrace the power of Elohim without condemnation. I discovered a connection that was personal and alive, strengthened by the Ruach, who teaches me and draws me closer to the Father. In that freedom, I found the fullness of worship and purpose, and I walk now in the light and strength of Elohim, guided by Yeshua and the Ruach. Amen.
